Women's Rights Sites

Seneca Falls is home to the Women's Rights National Historic Park, 136 Fall St. 315-568-2991. Includes remains of Wesleyan Methodist Chapel where first conference was held, the Elizabeth Cady Stanton House on Washington Street (daily tours) and the M'Clintock House in Waterloo. Also in Seneca Falls is the National Women's Hall of Fame, 76 Fall St. 315-568-8060.

Susan B. Anthony House

In Rochester, the Susan B. Anthony House, 17 Madison St., a National Historic Landmark is being restored. 585-235-6124.

Clara Barton Chapter #1

In August 1881, Clara Barton, Civil War heroine, formed the first local chapter of the American Red Cross in Dansville, Livingston County. Barton and Dansville society members spearheaded the first disaster relief undertaken by the American Red Cross by aiding victims of a Michigan forest fire.
